I have a 2018 New shape ford focus. I bought genuine IDS with a VCM2 but when I connect it says 'Use only ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) for this vehicle'

from reading online there is no way around this as FDRS is not in Europe yet?

FRDS is better known as the diagnostic functionality on the ETIS website.

The web based FRDS system was introduced a few Years ago and is going to replace the old IDS diagnsotic system completely. Most newly developed Ford models are no longer supported by IDS.


The diagnostic functionality is available as a paid feature on the Ford IDS website. A J2534 Device (preferably a VCM2) is required to use this functionality
