Need some help my tech2 wont connect with the laptop ive checked the connection settings and wires it worked before but now it just wont any tips ?

im using a Belkin Hi-speed USB 2.0 Dockstation tp connect to my laptop

In fact its not just this post....so your not alone.

What really get me is why so many posts like this don't contain pictures

i know if i needed help the first thing i would do is post as many pictures as possible so it helps the guy's here help you, hell its the digital age, made a video and put it on youtube

im sure here has seen before your photo, its if they help or not.

my first question is , did this happen connecting to same vehicle as you have connected to before when it was working ?

my other question, is do the program produce error log on pc ?

This is a hand held tech2 the first time and only time ive seen it work it wasn't connected to the car i had just bought it and was testing it out.

But what has happened i was programming my CIM and it asked to confirm security agreement with global tis so went to connect to laptop and this is what comes up and now i cant do nothing to the car as it keeps asking me to confirm security for the CIM and i cant connect it to another car as it just does the same.

oh handheld...yikes , maybe you buyed duff tool..because you not see anything until really connected

I've programmed loads a times with it and all works well just not had to connect it to the pc to confirm security access till now.

Try to set the correct communication port

I've just ordered a new RS-232 to usb see if its that

Use serial port from a correct laptop.
