Golf VII Cruise Control activation
Hello,
Im retrofiting Cruise control to 2014yr Golf VII. I do not have MFSW so decided to go with a cruise control stalk option. I have installed CC stalk, ran wire to ecu (which is needed for CC to work) and done coding job. Now when I activate CC i have CC icon on the instruments with the exclamation mark. I have googled a lot what is wrong and found information that SVM activation is needed. Also I have found solution for MQB Audi cars: I need to do Direct SVM Input with odis with a code 050 050. But the problem is, when I plug VAS5054 to the car and load Odis, I cant find such a option Direct SVM Input under Softare Versions Management (SVM) in ODIS. Maybe someone can help? Thanks in advance. |

MQB platform vehicles like Golf VII and above need function license to activate certain retrofits. This license actually activated a certain function to a certain Vin. As Masserata stated it is a one-time-use unique code that creates this retrofit-vin binding. After use, this code cannot be entered in another vehicle. Code 050050 was used for Audi 8K,8T,8R pre-MQB vehicles that didn't use such licenses.
