RE: CIC from Japan to ECE fail
I tried again.
Upgrade to JP ZB (xxx3423)
And the fan stopped and everything OK (only CD and Radio enabled). In the music collection, I see tracks.
As I read in this post https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.p...#pid548847 preparing FA without JP and code CIC.
After that, I flash 63 (xxx3417) -62-A0 in the expert and the fan 100% and the black screen.

I got the ECE cic from another car - and it's from Harman
My JP cic is from Alpine.

Maybe my cic has a different hardware?

RE: CIC from Japan to ECE fail
Of course its different hardware. You CAN'T just flash it to fully ECE firmware and expect it to work. Hence a workaround provided to you by Mwahab!!! And of course it will NOT be fully same as ECE.

RE: CIC from Japan to ECE fail
OK,
How about maps? Is it make sense to try to inject 19/1B FSC codes for ECE-maps and enable Navi?
Or this CIC will only play music?

No!
I don't have a working solution.

Someone says that you can just flash the software from ECE, and everything will  be good. But, it didn't work for me. I spent a couple of weeks trying various options and sequences, but I did not find a working solution. I read somewhere that it is necessary to flash something else before flash winKFP, but I did not get the details. Maybe there are certain hardware versions where it works, but not for me.

If you leave the JPN software, then the patcher from intel123 does not work on it.
And I didnt know about patcher for JPN version.

So I left the JPN version for now, and left it without navigation.

Thats E90 to E60 for Japan HU
All in comfort mode, i did it twice like that, worked without issues
After that, you can load your “ECE HDD”

It doesn't work this way, after software update you can't simply swap HDD and it works. The Japan Alpine unit software doesn't have 19 FSC to enable ECE navigation
