Vectra c 20 dti p0400 code
I have a 03 vectra c with code p0400, i know this is a code for egr, so tested egr which worked sometimes so i brought a new one at a cost of £249, fitted it and car still throws up p0400 code,so i left the car into get the ecu and wiring checked and they said all is fine with reading of volts and stuff. checked for vac leaks an cleaned all pipe/hoses to intercooler tubro flaps all good. car goes straight into limp mode when started and has no power. changed the two vac solenoids, one to the swril flaps and one to the tubro actuator. can someone please help

Also check vacuum pump ....seen a few couldn't maintain vacuum see what maf is doing via live data select voltage PID

Thank for the feed back, i have changed the vac pump and all vac pipes and also changed maf meter. i,m now thinking it could b a ecu fault has anyone one on this had to change a ecu. is the ecu builded into the fuel pump my pump has two plugs on it and two wires for the egr go to the pump. two codes which are p0401 an p0404 checked all wires and have good 5 volts good 12 volts and good earth and one that the volts changes as the egr opens

You have checked almost everything but did you check the recirculation pipe, that is most likely to be the culprit because you didn't mention if you cleaned that as well. Also have a look at this thorough GUIDE which might help you rectifying your problem. EGR VALVE TEST Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons

Hi check the inlet manifold for dust and look the throttle body this is on the head down from manifold also you must try a maf some times is that the reason also cut the black cable at plug of egr is the first in the side of engine NO to the radiator this way you have to make ecu update SPS named to a dealer garage

Hi thanks for all replys, i now have the car fixed. i had to replace the pump as the engine ecu is made into it. after doing my wire tests over again i found that the feedback wire from the ecu was showing 12v instead of 5v which is why i changed the ecu which is in the pump. promgramed the donner pump into the car and all is well. driving like a dream once again. thanks for all the help on this matter.
