Hello, Gentlemen, I have a problem with the BMW f12.  had the harness replaced after oil leaked from the sensor.  The oil at the bottom reached the level of dde, but after picking up the car from the mechanic it went out after a few hours.  Generally, it has errors of every system on the board, and in ista communication with dde sporadically disappears.  If the car sits for a while, it will start up.  It works normally and turns off after a few minutes

Clean oil - yes. Used oil - not so much...
It also must be a special grade very clean synthetic oil, not just any oil. (however, for 12VDC automotive, just regular engine oil could be enough..)

Also oil contamination could destroy modern eco-friendly wire insulation over time.
Although, engineers should have accounted for that during design stage, and should have chosen some oil resistant materials in the engine bay at least, but you never know when and where manufacturers would decide to cut costs...
