because you are trying to use a VAG interface on a JLR product. Can't expect it to work the same as JLR interface would. Read Fantomel's notes and he explains all of this.

well first of all, the main problem is pin consignment then there is another problem about protocol and the fact there is problem about people that believe t, Jlr used a ford version of SCP but even then byte data is different .

Why people posted this rubbish is beyond me , yes in vas504a you can change pin consignment (change pins by adaptor) but alot of people forget some stuff, first been its a load of shit, It only takes one person with a good video and a detailed guide to prove me wrong smile lol

the second been , yes i have changed pins and it still don't work, well because its not supposed to no matter what you do with your Super-Ninja-hard-as-fuck-cheap-Chinese-super-kick-anyone's-ass-device

best laugh is vas5054a is a very old device , many software is on using j2534-2 puuft....i could go further but cant be bothered
for the main part in some original and clone device its possible because protocol is handled by software not actual hardware but it can be far and few between.
