I was looking for a way to make my Android P40 Pro to work in the F11 NBTEVO,  the integration is not working proper in terms of apps.
Spotify - Amazon Music - and many others with iPhone it´s seamless, but with android it is not really working. 


It's a free app by chance! 
In combination with the "My BMW" app that serves as a proxy to connect to the idrive it unlocks the full potential of the existing possibilities, the API's are there but the BMW App does not take advantage of the functionality, i would say that bmw is focus on the new toys only instead of old id4-id6.


This app fixes the integration issues, as making many other music apps work through the iDrive.

Who has NBT and NBTEvo and android phone give it a try, i found it really nice gave a lot new options. 
One thing i really like was the detail status of the Car the app pulls, we can even compare with the info the My BMW App.

The BMW/Mini IDrive NBT does not offer native Android Auto integration, but does provide a very powerful Connected Apps convergence option with tight integration points into the car. This project is an effort to implement most of the features of Android Auto as unofficial BMW/Mini Connected Apps.


By relying on the Connected Apps technology, this app greatly extends the functionality of the car without any modifications or hacks. Any MY2014 or newer BMW or Mini equipped with NBT or NBT Evo and the "BMW Apps (6NR)" feature, an active BMW ConnectedDrive subscription, or the "Mini Connected (SA6NM)" option should be compatible.

As part of the Connected Apps feature, when the phone connects to the car over USB (or Bluetooth in 2017+ models), enabled phone apps can show a special dashboard-optimized interface in the car.


AAIdrive, combined with the safety benefits of the tactile IDrive controller, builds on this protocol to allow the user to interact with their incoming notifications and control their phone's music while the phone is safely tucked away.

i used the app since a year and it works without problems.
On the latest apk nightly build on GITHUB you have a extra option in the NBT settings for an Detailed Car view (oil temp, motor temp, gear, in/out temps, sunrool tilt/close status, gps infos and much more).

I can also recommend this to everyone with an Android phone (needs MY BMW App and APPS support)

Is it possbile to run it on retroffited evo in E-Series ?
Obviously I can not add my car (e90) to mybmw app so can't get through it.
I really want spotify app in my evo. Maybe someone have a solution ?

This is great app. Samsung S22 and S23 which I have does disconnect randomly even after I changed battery usage permissions etc . But still an awesome app

Based on the details the "My BMW Apps" is a requirement
"My BMW" serves as a proxy to connect to the idrive

I tested it on my 2014 F34 with NBT-HU and it's working without need to add the car in to Mybmw App. My car is equiped with TCB 3G unit and because of 3G sunset it can't connect to the bmw servers. You need only mybmw app installed on the phone and that's enough. I also tested it with the old bmw connected 6.4 app and there is no need to sign into the app. Just install and run both apps: mybmw or bmw connected app 6.4, AAIdrive and connect your phone.

I tried but with no result. Maybe something wrong with coding.
In AAIdrive every step is fine but one checkbox not fullfilled - still waiting to connect with apps.
When trying to connect using "apps" in connection type in idrive - it gets bluetooth connection with phone but it's hanging on trying to connect with apps
