Ive flashed F800GS using winkfp. its same procudre as e series flashing. You will need sp daten source. update winkfp files and select the module you want to flash

This is still not solved, Im having no luck with ISTA-p and motorrad, cars no problem, can someone guide me thru flashing with winkfp

I searched re your specific error message from ISTA-P as it is not an error I have seen before, the only answer I found was from the car side & it was an ECU which could not be programmed where another ECU of the same type programmed without error, the conclusion was that the ECU was faulty/locked preventing reprogramming

I suspect you may find the same issue using WinKFP with that BMSC, do you have the operations report from the failed attempt ?

How can I know if there is new software available for my ECU/DME, this is what I captured with ISTA:

Advice from a good old Motorrad programmer since 2010, use the first version of ISTAP to be able to update it or use WINKFP with very old SDPs and then use the SDPs in version 3.63.000 of ISTAP so you will have a properly updated ECU.

Thanks, Its all a little bit confusing for me, as your a "good old Motorrad programmer since 2010" could you guide me thru this and also point to where I can download the software needed, what is the the first version of ISTAP?


The only reason I want to update the ECU is to stop it stalling, for me its not a problem but when my wife is on the back it is, I dont wont to kill me wife when it stalls infront of a truck at a junction
