Hello!

Been a while after this update.

Well,

A 335i with a Production dated to 1112
Its has got NBT with the old controller (small knob w/o touch functionality)
I tried to install an OEM-Integration camera, and it failed.
I done the coding and its looks like there isn no communication between the module and NBT, the quadlock is the same as the other cars.
However i suspect one thing, as the car is coming with the old knob, there isnt CAN H and CAN L, that i must take the can signals from the FEM Directly.

I didn't try this solution as i don't have access to the same car at the moment, has anybody encountered such issue? and how do i know if the CAN H and CAN L already connected to the quadlock or not? the pins seems to be for quadlock is for the KCAN2 not the other one.


Coding is done properly
Same installation done in Several cars running with the NBT/EVO having the touch controller
Even Swapped the control unit and swapped the harness
Tried the same stuff in my Car 320i NBT W/ Touch functionality and it worked smoothly

If i am not mistaken controller has kcan2. For Tsrvc it needs kcan1. You might need to tap from FEM.

Pin 9 and 11 of the quadlock are CAN2, if your OEM camera module uses CAN2, then tap into pin 9 and 11.

As your car is 2012, the idrive controller is still running CAN1, so if your OEM camera module uses CAN1, you can tap it from there, much easier to tap from FEM

I tried to connect the CAN signals from the FEM directly, PIN 51 52 as i remember, it didn't work either.

I have no clue whats happening in that car.

I even changed the production date, tried some FDL codings, still the same. No swapping of the screen occur when i put in reverse gear, No communication between the module and the control unit.

Just to make sure have you coded REM too?

Are you using the camera which comes with the TRSVC Module? If so, can you see the module in ISTA control unit tree? its supposed to have power Terminal 15N on pin 7 and ground on pin 1. And KCAN1 on pin 5 & 6.

5 is Orange/Green, 6 is Green.5 goes to 52 on FEM and 6 to 51. If you dont see it in ISTA there is something wrong with your module or wiring.

Its an OEM-Integration, NOT OEM with TRSVC module.

It's coding has the same idea, it is just without the TRSVC in the ECU list.

And yes i had coded REM too!

I tried it on several cars, all of them worked fine.

NBT 2014 NBT 2015 NBT EVO ID5 and ID5

all worked except that NBT from 2012 that has no touch controller.

Ok. Because I believe that when you retrofit camera with the code 3AG it assumes there will be a trsvc module. Kind of the same with the cic and Pre LCI E70. There you need emulator. Don't know what's causing your issue. I'm just thinking out loud here. Are you sure you are using correct video input on the NBT? Try to swap to another one. Look for RVC in coding file or just change cables in quad lock

Yes i understand. No worries.

I checked the FDL of thee TRSVC module and it seems fine.
the video output is well connected.

The only difference is at the back of the HU
There is an additional slot like number 1 in this picture

I assume the FBAS Pins for the camera is the same, as the all of the HU coming without that plug, right?
