I have icom a2 clone very long time (over 4 years), curently I spot very strange problem. I'm able to connect everything old - e30, e34/6, e46 and also prefacelift e60/90 - everything which not required DCAN. Also Fmodels works like a charm, but If I need connect something with DCAN like 2009 e60 or 2010 e90, also 2011 E70 - IstaD shows me no identification car possible.

Is it possible some part/chip are broken? I try to update/downgrade firmware but without luck.

ICOM clone
Remove and check PCB connections with OBD connector
Then check the Transceiver CAN (8pin) - voltage

Hello,

I have the same problem with my Icom A2.

Voltage is steady at Pin 2-3 -> 3Volts

Resistance trough Icom to OBD at the Can-Pins is 39k.
Is this normal or is the IC damaged?

For me it looks normal but i‘m not really sure

Solved it by swapping the Can-Chip on the pcb. It is an 8 pin Chip near to the red connectors.
Price is arround 3$ so try it
After it everything worked fine.

Here the picture with the 8 pin chip.

Just swap it to a new one if D-Can Communication fails.
