Flash CIC- PRO from F to E Series ?
Hello.
i read that some guys flash E series CIC to F series , my question is, will it also be possible the other way ? Reason is,i could get a HW31 F Series CIC with DAB+ and want to retrofit DAB+ into my car. for sure a socked has to be soldered to connect the front panel, but will this be all that is necessary or something else ? Does someone has a guide /how-to what and how has it to be flashed with icom to get it running for E series ? Chri |

DAB+ is HW40 not 31. Plenty on Ebay though

Finding a HW40 CIC is even more difficult than HW31 (beside that 800 € CIC`s which are way to expensive for me).
i am already looking since some time for one that is not too expensive,most are E70 CIC`s with DAB+ which have to be flashed anyways to work with my E87. basicly it doesn`t matter if it is HW31 or HW40, both support DAB+. HW31 is DAB+, a friend of me retrofitted one on his E90, and he has DAB+ now. F series CIC are just cheaper because alot of people upgrade their cars to NBT. i already saw a couple of F(01) series CIC for 100-200 € , and would get a HW31 with DAB+ for 150€ at the moment. F series CIC has no GW. That is handled by zgw module. So no.
