I have an F34 and I want to improve the FZD by buying a used one. Unfortunately, the FZD on F34 are compatible only with the F31, because, i think, of the plastic case, so that there is very few chance to found one except to buy a new one at BMW.
So I would like to know, from your experience, if I buy a version from an F20, F21, F22, F30, F32, F35, F36, which shares all the same FZD, then I extract the electronic board and then put it in the plastic case of the F34 / F31, would it be compatible and work?

Differently, I would like to know if the FZD hardware is common to all BMWs.

I have the answer to my own question !
The two FZD are electronically differents because F34/F31 have the panorama glass roof which required to drive two motors while is not the case for the others cars series.
