ISTA 4.3 software update
I get the following error message with the new ISTA version 4.37.30 when trying to carry out a software update
"A fault occurred during calculation of the measures plan. The required programming is therefore not available. Please contact Technical Support." The last firmware from the ISTA package is on the ICOM, it is connected with a cable. Does anyone have an idea what the error is? |

RE: ISTA 4.3 software update
As NONE of useful information was provided the new BMW diagnostic device (https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.p...#pid561159) tells that your car has wrong FA due to retrofits.

RE: ISTA 4.3 software update
I'm a bit confused. In one release note here is mentioned the error message above. Resolution is to contact technical support and I think they use iRAP to solve this.
A month ago I was AOS ISTA flashing one 100% factory standard F20 and it gave me the same message. I gave up and asked customer to go BMW dealer to do the job...if they can.. I don't know if in new ISTA version this problem is allready solved or not. I really don't understand that ISTA worked for several YEARS without any problmes with hs/w updates. Suddently there are several mysterious problmes with it. |

RE: ISTA 4.3 software update
What Windows version you were using?
Since the last updates, at least on Windows 10, it enables the Real-Time Protection. Probably a factor of blocking on programming. I had same problem as you and I disable it permamently. It worked later as normal. It only happens with F´series. The misterious thing is that i tried with F30 and same error as you, nothing happens, can´t program.. then change to another car ( i have a workshop), connected to F56 and it worked flawless. Have to tell that Updated Icom Next to the last firmware posted in Forum. |
