In ISPI Next system, ISTA/P application is not required to register any ICOM.
The files you indicate, are ONLY necessary for older system ISTA/P.

Please, in which system you are trying to do the UPDATE? thinking

unfortunately windows 8.1 64bit puke

It has nothing to do with it.
I also have Win 8.1 x64 and everything works properly.

I think you have mixed the concepts. fail

Uninstall everything you have of ISTA-P.
Make a clean installation 56.0 (without changing anything)
After, upgrading to 56.1

When you're done with all, tell me and continued helping you.

It is working!!! complete new clean installation...

Thank you for all your help!

RE: Update ISTA/P 3.56.1
Hi, even after replacing the non-modified files as shared here my installation still refuses to complete. The file it gives an error with ConfigurationSettings.xml. Somebody care to share an non-modified version? At first the installation stopped at the other files, but they are ok now. Just the ConfigurationSettings.xml seems still modified or something.

The "ConfigurationSettings.xml" in my ZIP file is the original.
I'll check it again, but it is the original.

EDIT: Confirmed the "ConfigurationSettings.xml" in my ZIP file, It's the original.

Surely you've put it where it corresponds?

RE: Update ISTA/P 3.56.1
Yeah, i'm very sure. The log file even states the file (with the corresponding directory) that it fails on. And i have checked over and over that the correct file (your file) is in that directory.

Would you be as kind as to re-upload that one file? After that i can check again.

RE: Update ISTA/P 3.56.1
3.56.0.5 version is installed. Update 3.56.1 final will rollback operation, the display is not updated.
C: \ ProgramData \ BMW \ ISPI \ config \ TRIC \ ISTA-P \ Fingerprints \
has "ISTA-P_3.56.0.500.ok & ISTA-P_3.56.1.002.error" files.
How do I solve it?
Please help me, thank you ...
