Some users have reported that, when you upgrade MMI to the latest version, carson's method (to activate the map) is blocked. Script doesn't run. This only affects 3GP users.

Actually its just been reported that carsons activator with key 9 whatever that means works on 6.20.4 maps even after you have upgrade MMI firmware to K0900. So its possible to upgrade to K0900 MMI firmware and activate 6.20.4 maps as long as you find carsons activator with key 9 that was initially made for 6.20.4 maps + firmware 0770/0767.

If the "MMI3GApplication" are the same in 770/767 and 900 then the current carson activator should work fine.

The problem are: Who can test it? I think I remember that long time ago walawa uploaded a script for extract the "MMI3GApplication" from MMI for compare it with 770/767.

Other way are the hard way , update the MMI to 900 and try the activator in the other post http://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=7162 but this can result in a bricked MMI if the teory fails :P
