Ok, I have an ICOM and try to read E46, when I try to connect I get error:

"Error : The vehicle could not be identified. Please check the access to the vehicle and check whether the testing-analysis etc."

Anyone can give me insight on this?

What is year of build of the car? Has it 20pin connector in engine bay and did you used that or the 16pin OBD by steeringweel.

If it Has 20 pin i would use that because it can connect to all ECU's.
If you use 16pin witch is only for engine ECU Make sure cap on the 20 pin is placed because in the cap there are some links.
Iam not 100% sure ista p can connect only with Engine ECU. So thats why my advice is use 20 pin always.

Enet is NOT icom. You need to set INTERFACE=REMOTE and set the right ip in the ediabas

That is correct but wy use EDIABAS with ICOM?
With icom i don't use EDIABAS but direct connection to icom. So less settings that can go wrong.
So i should try direct connection first.

As I know Rheingold needs Ediabas 7.3 installed and the right settings made...than it will work.

How the licencing works in this standalone version? From what the licence request generated?

Hy all,

I followed the instuctions and installed Rheingold but it won't work for me.
I have a K+DCAN cable and i want to use it with my 2010 E90 LCI.
Rheingold look like good because it don't throw any error message.

Also I set interface type : Ediabas default settings at VCI Config.
I'm using COM9 port
I copied obd.ini to windows folder.

Which other configuration should I make?
I attach my ediabas.ini and obd.ini please look into these which can be wrong.

But on my new system I got a message (picture).

Of course I used RCleaner 4.1 and restart the computer.

Klik on "next" button and paste the licence key in the lower empty box.licence key is in the rheingold folder
