Hi guys,

I bought G11 from US, ggreat car but I don't know how to code it to EU spec. Is the process the same as with Fxx? I've heard that it's not the same. Any help will be greatly appreacited. I would like to change radio frequency, DVD area code, and add different language.

It should be the same as on F serie

-go to bimmer.work and print the VO for this car
-adapt the VO on paper
-edit VO in E-Sys
-write VO to car
-VO code necessary ECU
-FDL code the rest that is not possible with VO*
-done

*Could be complicated when parameters are trimmed in E-Sys for latest iLevel cars.

It's not the same, when I try to code MHz (radio frequency) radio doesn't won't to start.

I've heard that I need to update map first to EU (code can be bought only at BMW) and then I can code it to change region from US to ECE.

Anyone has any experience?

Try to change radio country to Australia.

Hardware is not all the same so you do not want to VO code all ECU's to EU Typenschlüssel.

Thats why i wrote :
-FDL code the rest that is not possible with VO*

Dont tamper with radio, if you code your EVO to ECE it will black out. Until you modify it for ECE region you wont be able to use ECE navigation or Radio freq. set
