So, I have now tried it on my E61.

Here the USB-OBD interface runs completely problem-free with ISTA 4.33.30.

If someone could tell me now, from which ISTA version USB-OBD-DCAN interfaces no longer work on the newer models, I would be very happy.

K-DCAN work with all models, old and new /E- series/! 

How do you mean that? Also for F and G models?
If so, do you have a tip for me? Or do you also mean the firmware update from the DCAN interface?

Hello so if i want update older version with license how it works just installed new one over old using installer or do i need to uninstall old one then instal new one and use same license key what is all ready made for this pc

I can not get the usb obd to work (E), only ethernet (F). I have another laptop with an older version with usb working. In device manager i set the usb to com1, latency 1. switched to ediabas in ista vehicle interface. still not communicating. am i missing a step? thanks

Actually since you can talk to F models then your issue is a missing switch on INPA KDCAN that can bridge pins 7 and 8 on the cable or you have the switch but need to set it to the other position.
no need to check ediabas.ini or obd.ini, have nothing to do with the pinout.

I have already answered you on the subject of the D-CAN USB adapter, all models (E,F,I,G...) work with the EdiabasLib firmware, with the original firmware there are only problems.
