For some reason its not picking up my ICOM and when I do a manual connect its telling me access denied? Any ideas what is could be?

I met many same problem like you only "..... NET-0009 TIME OUT",in VCI,Ticked the selection "HO-ICOM/ENET local area network",and Search Broadcast 255.255.255.255,169.254,255.255".

i tried it today with my icom and it works without a problem.

Are you using a clone or real one. Do you know what firmware you are running on it ?

Install 3.50 msi ok
Istagui.exe replace ok
Extract sqlite folder other etc ok
3.50 xml?? I don't know
ispi admin ask update...

1. download SuperOrca(free)
2. edit .msi file with SuperOrca (set LaucherNotFound and NotCalledByLaucher--> 0)
3. Execute .msi file and install (all necessary files have to be in the same directory)
4. extract datapackage file and copy extracted SQLite databases to your SQLite databases folder of your installatio directory
5. edit registry for x64 system it's:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\BMWGroup\ISPI\ISTA]
"DataVersion"="3.50.10"

Start ISTA

a popup will appear that reminds you to check ISPI process blabla and that data can only be stored on local drive.. Just ignore.

No need to use different ISTAGUI.exe files or something similar

No, you have to add the DataVersion additionally. But that is only for AdminClient avoiding to show the update error, not for starting ISTA in generell.

Did you install AdminClient and an earlier version of ISTA successfully?

What happens when you start ISTA? Nothing?

Yes I was using version 3.49 without problem .
So now nothing happens when I run ista .

i'm using real ones. they have the newest firmware. i think its the firmware from the 3.49 ista. i will look it up tomorrow.
i'm using admin client 3.0.7 in case that makes a difference.

All is good i think but ista not start.

Try, only for a test, the old 3.49 istagui.exe.config

Rename the original in istagui.exe.config.350 and copy the old one in the same folder.
