Hi, i have an A4 2013 with facelift with 3gp, got it second hand and it was an US car already prepared for EU, I have all in spanish with spanish maps, all ok except radio using 0.2 in FM instead of 0.1, something that i have read can't be fixed easily without hw.

Actually i have FW HN+_EU_AU3G_K0612_1 and Maps 8R0060884AR: ECE 6.15.5 (2013)

Do you think i can update to K0900 and 6.22.4 without problems? Can update fw directly from 612?

Edit: i have read like 20 last pages and first 4, have a little mess on my brain now, some say can be updated direct other no, later that yes, my main doubt is cause my car if original from US, I'm afraid that even now that it has Eu maps and fw, updating could break something, that's why i ask.

Edit2: reading some pdf with process to update i see that if you have carson's patch you need to do emergency update first, is there any way to know if i have carson's patch? I bought car second hand and was converted US->EU, dunno if they did on dealer or maybe used some patch, maybe I should check if using any patch first

Hi, dont update directly. Go step by step. I update from default to K900 and have fault in 5F 01043 - Control Module; Incorrect Software Version...
Finaly no fault in 5F because a flashed again all firmwares step by step.

Hi all

I have been following this forum for a while.....as I understand people are bored by same questions from everywhere.
Still, I can not help having questions of my own.



This is my December 2013 A8 facelift.
As I understand by now I have a 3GP MMI

About firmware:
The car is running at factory firmware P0660.
As I understand, latest update is K0900. (8R0906961EA)
I have been reading about bad things happening to some BOSE systems, and I am wondering if this is because I need to upgrade fw step by step? 660 -> 770 -> 783 -> 900. (Or is it just the latest 900 update which have an error which relate to BOSE that can be corrected in the BOSE script?)

I see some people suggest disconnect the BOSE, how?

What are the changes between these versions? If I go from 660 -> 900, what changes will I experience?

About maps:
I have (not updated yet) the MMI 3G 2016 8R0051884DF which I understand still is the latest map version.
Does anybody know when there will be a new version available?
