RE: NBT EVO retrofit in Eseries - Solved
Me ? Personally I learned all by myself, 4 years that I study the coding and believe me I still learn today.

I did not say that I did not want to answer you, I just do not have time to train you.

You think it's like this by slapping fingers it's there I know coded ??

No it's just a little more complex than that, you have to install everything correctly on your pc, then you have to learn the basics, reading your vehicle etc ... it is not in 15 minutes that you will be a coder .

Many wanted to improvise coder and it is doomed to a failure when he called me to rescue because their vehicle did not even start at all, more contact, just the kombi that lit up is all !!!

Yesterday I gave you a clue, you need to change the audio_system parameter

RE: NBT EVO retrofit in Eseries - Solved
Huge update this morning - all good news.

Firstly - I got sound!! No echo and awesome goodness.

The solution - not all part#65129248552 top Hifi Amps are the same. I had a pn#65129248552 from a 2011 x3, turns out it was a AMPH70 variant - I found this out by using ISTA/P v3.61 (more on this later) with ICOM connection - I needed an AMP_60 variant.
I don't know if using ISTA/P to program the AMP ECU would make it work/compatible with the head unit - it appears as if the software level isn't compatible you won't get any sound. Granted, I didn't test the theory, but I did buy a 2012 pn#65129248552 top hifi amp from a 750i - installed - and sound! Didn't have to do any coding at all. Just plug and play.

Second, programming and coding. Possibly the most easy thing to do in this world with guidance. Took me 3-4 weeks - on the weekends with the help of a saint, someone I met on the forums, to teach me. Rheingold - done! ISTA/P - done. NCSExpert - Done. WinKFP - Done. Esys- Done!

The barriers to entry are several. The first barrier to entry - obtaining the software. Ced graciously gave me a VM Ware image with all the software preloaded - granted I had to follow a guide to upgrade ISTAD and ISTAP as well as E-sys PSdZ files - but it all worked out. It turns out my car was treated with ISTA/P v3.61, and the version on the VM was older - so it wouldn't work properly when I was using. I had to upgrade ISTAP before it worked.

Second barrier to entry - learning what each software can do, and how to use it. Thats where his help was worth its weight in gold. He explained each software and then we went about using them - made Eys, NCSExpert, winKFP, and ISTA my bitches!

Third barrier to entry - the right hardware. You need either a ICOM clone, or ICOM Next, a 70amp charger (I got the Schumacher), and a K+CAN cable that actually works. So worth it. I cleared a few codes and found a few things I need to take care of on the car. Definitely a "worth it" buy.

So what have I coded so far? Removed the nagging SOS warning error, and I plan to change the door chime - the default one sounds really weird with the new amp.

What have I programmed? Nothing yet. But I plan on doing a full car software update.

First, I have to say thank you to shawnsheridan for getting me started and on the right track, and cedric for teaching me everything I know.
Also a huge thanks to everyone who has ever helped a novice. We were all once one, but we don't stay novices forever.
It's now my turn to give back what I have learned and in the process hopefully help someone else.

Which leads me to the true purpose of this post - to help others.

Mac users running VM Ware v8.0 or higher, send me a PM for a clean BMWCoding3.5 VM with all the latests software via Mega. There are 50 files, 4.7GB each, about 233GB total with all the software described above included and more (ie: BMW Coding Tool, Tool32, ETK etc). Uncompressed it's about 350GB.

Also, if you need any help on how to use the software - send me a PM and I will do my best to help out. The process to get here has been painful, but oh so rewarding.

Cheers!
