Oh I don't think so but this is a coutious issue. I tried again on my A6 and it worked again.
Don't worry, it is not so important because you can do an emergencyrecovery with green menu if you have any problem.

Did you checked if the originals MMI3GApplication was the same ? I don't think so.

When I will come back home I'll also try to look at the differences between original and patched MMI3GApplication file. It seems that one effect of the patched file is to block the access to the VIN number. My 2013 FSC file is also masked when I access it in the red menu.

I tried again but to no avail! I did not make any backup. Patience, though I'd like to understand where is the problem!
Hopefully the pach works fine when I'll update the map. Tuesday, no surprises, I update the map!

How did you get the vin back?

I have already updated to firmware 770 and installed 6.17.3 maps with the activation script that removes the VIN.
Did someone fix so the VIN can be reactivated?
