RE: Vas 5054a self diagnostic test sequence.
Finally my Vas5054a clone has passed all the tests on VasPC.
Here are the details: 1)I was having 700.2114 error.I found my TJA1054 was soldered upside down and was also fake.So I soldered new TJA1054 and error turned to 700.2115. 2)Also corrected one zener diode's position as it was solded in a wrong way. 3)My board had already genuine looking OKI chip but there was no A5780A chip installed.I was confused about 700.2115 error because it means "Fault on vehicle bus access J1850-PWM" and OKI chip is responsible for PWM protocol.Anyhow i soldered genuine A5780A chip(still chinese) and guess what--error 700.2115 disappeared and it threw 700.2230 which was just an ignition signal error because i was powering up with external power supply.Connected my vas5054 to the car and did a self test and it passed it without any errors. Still can't understand how come installing A5780A chip fixed 700.2115 error. So far what i have read that A5780A is responsible for 700.2116 error. Anyways i replaced all the chips as mentioned by fantomel and replaced my RAM with ISSI as mentioned by Enabled and i then coated my circuit board with acrylic conformal coating.Lets see how long it will last. Thanks fantomel for the information and Enabled for the genuine ISSI memory source!! |

I do have one question your oki I thought was not genuine. It had one leg cut same as mine. Do you mind expanding on this??? e.g. leg cut means cannot perform the test right?? One comment J1850 are a group one influences the other. Add all missing chips before testing is best. (I did propose this I believe) 700.2115 J1850-PWM 700.2116 J1850-VPW |

I used Processor board and genuine Amb2300 from one clone(the one I got from the same seller as you) and used relay board from my other clone. I also replaced USB receptacle with a high quality carrying Gold plated pins from TE connectivity.Chinese usb connector did not have gold coated pins.It made a big difference how my cable clicks in now. |

700.2115 Fault on vehicle bus access J1850-PWM (from datasheet: MSM6636 with a PWM bit encoding method (41.6 K bps))
700.2116 Fault on vehicle bus access J1850-VPW (from datasheet: AU5780A SAE/J1850/VPW transceiver) And a little history from HERE |
