OK, guys, I really need your help

Tried programming/updating my 2014 F11 with ICOM Next (original) and ISTA/D and ISTA/P, and can't update KOMBI/NBT via that.

Set up an unused, reset Asus AC66U router with router f/w off, connected ICOM and PC to LAN-ports.
Both get an IP, and ICOM shows up in ISTA/D and ISTA/P.
Nevertheless, ISTA/D fails immediately telling me it's unable to identify the vehicle. ISTA/P also fails to detect car when via router.
PC firewall completely shut off.

Any clues on this one? Seems it should be so easy as to hook up PC/ICOM via router, but not in my case.
