So you've successfully loaded 8hp70 alpina egs sw to 8hp45 transmission?

Yes, I had loaded 1367 and 1ee4 swfl to my 8hp45 and coded it successfully, there is no any fault code on ISTA check afterwards also.

The only issue I noticed is the un-smooth gear shift, 1ee4 performed slightly better than 1367 on my 8hp45, however still not as good as the original one though....

My 520d had PPK installed but it shouldn't be the reason caused the un-smooth gear shift on alpina egs s/w anyway.....

Probably because your DDE has transmission tables for torque limiters, boost by gear, and other various parameters that link the DDE and EGS that don't match up with the Alpina software since they use a different torque converter and gear ratios. You could likely get your DDE tuned to mate it with an Alpina Trans and you would likely eliminate the rough gear shifts. Comparing the D5 flash file with the stock file for your engine should help identify the EGS related tables. I'm gonna be looking through the B3 flash files myself for this same reason.

The only 2 benefits that I can see from alpina egs s/w are:

1:Gear indicator on all modes
2:Launch Control flags works correctly with my 520D

So if we can find a way to enable these 2 from stock egs s/w , it would be perfect then...

I had tried to look into the swfl, but these are encrypted file, it's not likely I can really read them unless I can find the decrypted version for them.

But at least, I am now 100% certain that these 2 mentioned functions were enabled by the smaller egs swfl...
