If you read all the posts, you can clearly see that you are the only one (until now) reporting problems, so I'm quite sure that there is nothing wrong with the map data. Most probably such problems are related to some kind of a sw issue or even a faulty HDD in the car. In case that is really something wrong with the map data than all users would complain I think..I also installed in one car and no complains, works perfect. Maybe he got damaged file(s) due to a corrupted download which would be his best case scenario at the end..Download again and extract with Winrar 5.xx. Always use windows as there are many reported problems using mac computer (I'm not sure for BMW but I know for Audi MMI 3G)
