Thank you to xtac1080!!! He is an awesome person! Worked as advertised. In order for your J2534 device to be seen and selected by TIS2000, you must follow the instructions as stated in original post. Replace j2534 file(as per instructions in first post), then on TIS2000 choose Configuration - I/O Management.
Click Add Button(in IO Management), In Logical Name enter EXACTLY "Generic Pass Thru" and Select "J2534 Pass Thru Driver" in the Driver Box. Click Ok and Close. Now go back to IO Management and Select Generic Pass Thru. Go to "Properties" of Generic Pass Thru and under "Device Name" you should see your devices name. Obviously you have to install the drivers first as the original poster mentioned.
