It can only be done with an icom, MOST adapter. for flashing the to US/ECE firmware should take about 2 hours with an icom.
I've heard it can be done over Ethernet, but it takes over 24 hours just to do the gateway part, so unless it's on a bench do not attempt this in the car. If you don't have the tools get the firmware flashed by someone with a ICOM who knows how to do the region swap. |
