RE: Service History Update . BMW X3 G01
If I'm programming the car with new istep on my own, then what can be done to push that "self" service update to BMW mothership so that AIR for instance can pick up that i-level update on the car?
Or, is that not possible to sync up "self" service to vehicle service history, even if it is for a software update? If i do my own update (because car is out of warranty), great. Take the car to dealer service for some repair work, they look up car service history, AIR says older istep. But car has newer istep flashed. How to avoid this situation? I would imagine folks are doing other type of self-service maintenance/repairs on the car, do those service can get sent to BMW mothership for recording to the car's VIN service history? Or, once self-work is done on the car, the car's service history kept at BMW will get out of sync, and that's the way it is? Thanks! Nm, searching is your friend. Everything updated locally in idrive gets wiped out once connected to this FBM. Great... |
