Isn't it interesting so many of us have refused to move to 4.12

That aside my working ICOM went faulty, red system light flashing. I tried to repair by heating the chip and blew away some tiny resistors so bought a similar clone A1 with firmware 3.15.0 preinstalled. I am trying to use ISTA+ programming but getting faulty ICOM connection error. Could be two things, missing ethernet or old firmware.

Is firmware 3.15.0 ok for programming or should I upgrade to 3.15.02? I tried to update firmware, system update went ok but bootimage fails. Flags say system unverified and bootimage dirty. No idea why. I have opened up the ICOM and it looks exactly like my previous working one so am stumped. Any pointers will help me diagnose.

Maybe I attempt to restore the icom? I fear to brick it though. They don't come cheap!!

I noticed the OBDII that comes with the ICOM has a terminal 15 issue. I use an extension and that solves the problem. I have a feeling it could be my icom clones ethernet. You have PM

Hi guys,

I have installed ista-p and ista-d and bought the icom a from rheingold. After a few hours i was able to start Ista-P and this works fine.

I have a problem with ista-d like in the picture of post 42 on page 5 of this thread.

Can run the diagnostics, but after this fault the programming greyed out.

I have tried to adjust the registry but when i go to the folders in the registry i can't find the true of false edit. There is only 1 file in(start go to regedit): license

And in the other location software/bmw groep/ispi there is nothing.

Please help.
