Hi
Can someone help me with the online traffic for MMI 3G+ ?
The problem is that my car never had MMI 3G+ and I am sure my VIN is not white listed for that.
I saw that you can change the VIN through FSC, but I really couldn't find much info on this.

If someone can help I will appreciate it.

Does anybody know (tested) an working activator for VW RNS 850 for 6.20.4 map? I know update map procedure is almoust the same as AUDI MMI 3G High (soft update, map update and activate).

I have attempted a maps update 6.20.4 on a MMI3GP unit with FW 0767.
The unit restart and end the update process after the "documentation cancel or abort information" message.
I've tried to delete the navigation partition and retry to update but with no success.
On software-update screen AUDI_MMI3G_ECE is marked with a "?" instead of "OK"
I've no more maps now....
any idea ?

Activate Green Menu (if you haven't already done so)
Choose swdl
Activate user defined mode
Don't reboot, just exit with any button (i usually use radio) and proceed with firmware-upgrade as normal.
Now you can choose what you want to update.

I've heard a Patch for VIM for after activator, but I could find it anywhere.
Anyone can help!, even in PM?.

VIMPatcher isn't compatible with A7 I've tried it many times with no luck.

I took a big breath, and i made the updates, without any problem.

I update directly to K770 FW - it took 35 min.
Map update to 8R0060884CH 6.20.4 was surprising sort, 70 min (i hope the whole database was uptaded...)
The activaton was two click.

At the end, i think it was not a complicate process, so keep on updating!

Just figure it out: I'm not looking for Video in Motion (VIM) but Vehicle Information Number in MMI.
So question stays open:
Do anyone knows about the Patch to recover correct Vehicle number in MMI 3GP after the Carson activator?

Sorry was a typo, current (latest) VINPatcher doesn't work with 3GP, it just modify the language files for insert the VIN number that you provide manually to the tool.

Seems that 3GP uses another strings/method for show the VIN number and it doesn't work.

Thanks for clarifying this, I've been searching for days to find a definitive answer for this question.

I have a 3GP and have read up and got all the files ready to do a fw and map update but the loss of online traffic is not an option for me..so I guess I'm out of luck here.
