RE: Programming KOMBI and NBT fails on F series
Yeah, I understand your aim, but I don't see how a written problem is different to a problem that's obvious. You wrote you have the reason found, but there's no reason given, just a description of the problem, MICHA
![]() By the way: there IS a solution. Use a DHCP server for programming these series in order to avoid this problem. Hit Thanks and Reputation button if this post helped you.

RE: Programming KOMBI and NBT fails on F series
This problem with ICOM has existed for a very long time, probably since the NBT was introduced. If there is a NBT in car, all control units in MOST bus must be flashed by one of these two methods:
1. Use DHCP server to assign ip to car 2. Use ENET cable for flashing This is in effect also when using E-sys for flashing. Some MOST bus control units: NBT, kombi, top hifi amplifier, dvd-changer. |

I've not done anything special to connect using E-sys and successfully flashed NBT and KOMBI. The only special connection option is to connect directly to the IP when flashing ZGW; else, I just connect using VIN. |

RE: Programming KOMBI and NBT fails on F series
So you have used option #2, "use ENET cable for flashing".

RE: Programming KOMBI and NBT fails on F series
I just reread your post and realized you weren't specifically referring to flashing these ECUs using ISTA/P, but just generally speaking about using an ENET cable (if instead by using E-Sys).

RE: Programming KOMBI and NBT fails on F series
Just add a router and connect the icom to it and offcourse your laptop to the router.
Open a browser and type: ip address of your icom:60080 (User name: root Password: NZY11502) and change lan setting to dhcp. Reboot icom and check with iToolRader the new ip address of your icom. It should be 192.168.x.x Fire up ista-p and do your coding. MGU virgin and patching in Europa.
