I am sure only a rounter need to be connected in the middle of the ICOM and laptop by LAN cable.don't need any setting up.
but why is not valid by Wireless from rounter to laptop?do you have any idea?thx.

Because ista P does not support wlan connections. Probably due to stability liability.

my icom is connected without any router

Why connect through dhcp if you aren't using dhcp?
Ista-p requires cable connected.

Ista p does not support wifi (wlan) and will not start ista p server if the wifi is enabled on the laptop, only ista p client will open and you cannot select istap server to program. Imagine if the wifi connection drops during programming then the car is screwed up. There are good reasons why bmw doesn't allow programming via wifi

Who have a method to DHCPSVR configurate with ENET cable to programming MOST modules?ICOM can do it,but with ENET cable ZGW search couldn't find IP,ISTA P couldn't identificate VIN.thanks in advance.
