I bought F30 335xi with engine broken.
To fix car I decided to replace engine. I bought new engine from "Autorized BMW disassembling facility" in Munich. The engine is pretty new with only 7km on dash.

Now I want to start the car.
I connected to the car with Rheingold and received few errors from DME:
1F2108 DME, incorrect data record: Variant monitoring
1F2601 DME, encoding: Missing
1F2604 DME, encoding: Vehicle identification number wrong

How to align the DME to the car ?

Lack of information has been provided.!!!!
Please be Prepared to Chase wrong Problem(S) for MANY DAYS if not Months
Did you replaced DME ? Have you used SAME Injectors? or from NEW engine?
Have you used SAME Sensors or from NEW engine? HAVE YOU USED Same Throttle body or from NEW Engine ?

I give you an example.... About 4-5 Years ago shop replaced engine on b5 Audi from V6 to V6(SAME ENGINE ***CODE) after Speedometer showed "Please Depress Clutch Pedal To Start" On AUTOMATIC transmission and Car never again started
after 2 months shop can not figure out problem, they STARTED from Step 1 again
Solution was replace original CP Sensor, Automatic transmission and Manual Transmission CP Sensors are different

The communication between DME and EWS is established (no faults).
DME only reported this errors:

So I only need to adopt the new engine with its DME to the rest of the car.

Maybe You should then Try to Read codes? and use software?
Wrong VIN # WinKFP, Tools32, E-Sys To Default Coding, NCSExpert OR Abritas
Then ISTA-P and LAST Rheingold to code Injectors, Vanos, Throttle Body, ETC..........
Or Just Use OLD DME/Sensors to avoid Problems and unnecessary spendings

This Injectors, Vanos, Throttle Body, ETC are coded in DME or other module ?

The first error:
1F2108 DME, incorrect data record: Variant monitoring in details:
Fault description:
The diagnosis monitors the software variants between CAS and DME.
Fault monitoring conditions: The fault is detected whenever the software variants fail to match one another.
Action in service: Continue troubleshooting at following control unit:
-CAS.
-Reprogram and encode the DME.
Is this mean that I need to flash DME ?

I can't use DME from old engine because the new has different equipment.
There is additional wiring to the turbo, that was not in the previous engine.

You must reencode DME with E-sys and if car still not start you must move ISN data from old ecu and do sync with ISTA/D.
