RE: Bmw K-DCAN modification
I bought a lot cables from this seller and it's ok, I recommend him. I bought and tested this cable with switch and it's worked on all BMW Exx series (E70 from 2012, E93 , E60 from 2009)

RE: Bmw K-DCAN modification
From 2010 BMW use pin 8 for Ethernet therefor you need switch between pin 7 and pin 8 like Catana said.
For E series use dcan utility but for F series is better to use Ethernet to OBD 16 pin (cable for E-SYS) with ISTA-D/P

VERY very risky to flash CANBUS cars with the K+DCAN of any quality. The data speed is much higher and the cable has no buffer memory for flashing.

I also have flashed with a very good K+DCAN (owned over 6 years, has worked with everything), ...until I bricked a 2008 M5 SMG module. Then I tried to ISTA/P it, and it made it even worse, "Programming status 12".
Some CANBUS modules will flash fine, but when you brick a module, then you learn not to use a $30 cable. I managed to unbrick the module only with ICOM or Omitec cable, which both have built in memory to help out with the speed.

Very good for diagnosing and coding, but you are risking very much trying to flash 2007+ BMWs with K+DCAN.

This is all true mate..I also remember how I bricked cas4 on f serie..steel have nightmers..biggrin but for diagnose, simple module coding and adaptation is k-dcan ok..for other yobs I use abrites and pasoft..

2/2007 and older vehicles requires the pin 7 and 8 to be bridged!!

You must bridge or not 7 & 8 pins, like in picture attached
