BMW ISTA-D & ISTA-P Failed to start unhandled exception or Failed to start ISTA: Please make sure your ISTA configuration is valid.

The 1st problem is caused by either .Netframework 2.0 or 3.0 Assemblies being not fully installed with both vcredist x86 & x64 bit assemblies. You need both also Java 1.6u13 x86 to Java 1.8u121 or latest. You did not check ISTA-D to run as Administrator in properties. Some people get their's to run with out that check as admin, but mine never run it closed in the background before it could come upon the screen. The Patched_EDIABAS_7.3.0 must be installed to your C:\drive as C:\Ediabas

The 2nd problem would be where while installing ISTA-P it halted the extraction where certain files are not extracted to the ISTA-P folder which are required to run after installation.
