I used the patch on my E87. It worked the first time but then somehow I screwed up with putting in the FSCs. I could change the VIN but the FSCs were just rejected. I tried going back to the start and try the patcher again but it refused to run whatever I did. I reflashed the CIC several times but it would not re-run. Therefore there has to be some other checks with it before it will run. I sorted the problem by using the FTP method mentioned in this thread and put a blank generalPersistencyData_DiagnosticSWTController file into the CIC. After that I could put the new VIN and FSCs in. |

RE: BMW CIC PATCHER v2 - GENERATE YOUR OWN RETROFIT FSC CERTS
Hey guys,
Someone can help me to "virginize" the CIC via USB in the glovebox ? I don't have the DUB-E100 adapter (it's on its way from Ebay but it will take some time as i am located in Dubai), and i have the same problem as BaggieMatt and i am struggling with this for 1 week or so. CIC is retrofitted, i have E60 LCI car, used the script , got red screen, CIC rebooted. Changed the VIN with Tool32 on all 3 modules of CIC, changed the vin with SET_VIN in SWT using FSTOOL. Also, CIC is C10 version, but the script worked as expected and explained by intel123 , CIC threw a red screen after 10 seconds and rebooted. Used the Dr. Gini Ediabas / FStools / Carserver files/installation on a fresh windows 7 VM , as i read in this thread, no matter what i do the FSCs don't activate. I managed to load the certs/sigs but state is "loaded" and not accepted. After i try to upload the FSCs one by one, 1B, 19, 17, the STORE commands are working with no issue but when i send GET_STATUS then again the SIGS cert is rejected. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance. Here are some pictures : |

RE: BMW CIC PATCHER v2 - GENERATE YOUR OWN RETROFIT FSC CERTS
When you use store Sigcert also add check Sigcert in the tab and execute
later add Storefsc and CheckFsc in the tab and execute. do this for all 17,19,1B Edit:: Correct order of doing this 1TORE SIGCERT 2:CHECK SIGCERT 3TORE FSCSCERT 4:CHECK FSCSCERT 5TOREFSC 6:CHECKFSC |

Error relate to carserver installation problem. Did you use the updated Carserver from the FSTOOL thread?
Virginizing the CIC again will not solve it!!!!! |

(08-06-2017, 15:28 PM)sebastianfernandes Wrote: When you use store Sigcert also add check Sigcert in the tab and execute I did all these commands , but like i said, CHECK commands fail everytime no matter the job executed. STORE works for every command, i can see the SIGS, FSCS certs and fSC "loaded" but not activated. I will try to updated DATEN and SGDAT folders of carserver with the newest SP daten i have now (v60) and use the carserver from FSTOOL thread, but i doubt this is the problem. Ideally, intel's patch should virginize the CIC if i am right so this should work. On another russian site i've seen that the guys there first virginized the CIC by zeroing hbdata debug files and putting an OEM SWT controller file and after that running the patch. First step is to store_sigs_cert, which works for me but when i CHECK_SIG_CERT i get an error. I will try today with the newer setup and LOG_ALL enabled in carserver to see what i can make out of it. |
