Overvoltage or simply, because sometimes tantalum capacitor get shortcut-ed internally and the next step is a small explosion

I have seen two different types of OPCOM PCB in web. Which is the best one?

One of item is using a fake MCU ( the one in the left pics )
The other oneI have I cannot say anything. I never had
It could be OK but the same it could have fake MCU
I only fixed this kind of tools but all had the right MCU
But as I said people complain of this tool that in one of item there is used a fake MCU as in the tool from left pics
very easy to find that it use a fake MCU. there are D5 and C22 which are specific opcom v6 tools

Share pics of your tool both PCB sides.
Astra K only in vauxcom 160115a ( I didn't checked what coverage )
Much more in 170823 version that it wasn't officialy released ( only HU version )
At least we can tell you if you can do firmware upgrade

Does this fw work with 120309a?
China clone V5 works with 1.7 firmware?

Vauxcom 120309a and the fake versions with new database added ( as vauxcom120309a+131223d or vauxcom120309a+160115a ) its need fw1.45
If you have any newer version of firmware flahed in your tool then it will works. But there will be no benefit.
Will work only what vauxcom 120309a is cover. The added databases will not work.
Simply its a fake as fw1.70 its too
But you can use it if you like
