I need some help. Can't install it, getting message "An error has been detected in one software component. The installation of the ODIS Service will be removed. First, an attempt will be made to uninstall the vehicle connection (VW MCD, PDU API). This can take a few minutes. Please contact Support.". How to sort it? Tried as admin, restarts, uninstalls - nothing helped. Has anyone faced it?

Unistall all versions of Microsoft Visual C++ from your system ,then remove completelly ODIS and install again.

Clean new installation for the 5 times.
and as soon as Odis E 8.2.3 is installed comes on Odis S 5.0.3 this error has everything I tried because mistakes do not get away.
My work steps were as follows.
Odis S 5.0.3 installed
Exchanged luncher and plugin
Postsetup installed.
Softing data exchanged.
Odis E installed
Exchanged luncher and plugin
Odis Postsetup installed
Odis Project Data Insatlliert.

I do not know what I'm doing wrong before that had always worked like this without a problem

Windows 7 32bit

Re-Installed ODIS-S => All Ok !

Does it work that's right, but then I get with Odis E no more connection to the dongle.

I'm facing a different problem. ODIS-E sees the head and works fine, but ODIS Diag can't see 5054 head. I've installed softing 41, chose 5054 at installation, but that didn't help. In setting PDU section is blank. How to fix it?

You will watch the Pdu Api only when head is connected and with power........
When is blank this means head is not connected and with power or is connected and with power but not recognized.........

Odis-S 5.0.3 not use same mcd server plugin with Odis-E using latest and newer, so it seems you have corrupt this newer server plugin in your computer.........
Try and uninstall everything, clean everything with Revo uninstaller and 1st install Odis-S and check now that Odis-S recognize your head......
If all ok then move on and install now Odis-E and check now the final results............
