Hello 

I got a problem with a BMW M5 Siemens MSS65.
I wanted to clone it to a identical MSS65.

First Step:
I read the MSS65 with xprog without any Problem (both cpus).
I got CPU1 (MPC, Config A, Flash) and CPU2 (MPC, Config A, Flash)
Then I erased and wrote all the File into new MSS65.
But the car wont start. Inside Config A in both CPUs there wasnt any information (only 00 00 00 and FF FF FF FF)


Now I am trying to read the ECU again with a BDM100 Clone:
I read alot BOSCH EDC16 Units with it. Now the Problem is. As I know the Clone has a different pinout.
And I dont know where the VF0 VF1 and RESET is.

Actually I do not know much about the inside of this files. Usually I am just copying and it worked always. Could you explain me how to check or can I send you the files?

I would open the read files with a hex editor like HxD and scroll through to make sure they contain data.

Oh yes sure I already did that with HxD and there is Data. I also found the VIN inside.

Only the Configuration A is empty in both Cpus. But in another Thread someone upload his files and even his config A's were empty

I think 1 of cpu did not read properly.. but did you try make diagnostic on ecu or yust start the car? post files and we check

if car update ecu with ista P new version i think from 2013 boot loder clossed not more posible read left processor.

I think only mss60 was bdm locked for one processor. Mss65 was left open, as far as I know.

I already tried to read via diagnostic but no communication.

I will upload the files soon

I already heard about the lock of 1 Processor but its confirmed in several threads that this is not for the mss65
