Good morning guys, 

I got two units for data swap between them as one was faulty and car wasn't running properly showing internal eeprom fault. 

I've got kess, ktag and bdm100 - unfortunately Chinese copies. 
Haven't had any problems with reading any Bosch ECUs but 16cp33 drives me nuts. Can't connect it to the interfaces. 

Do they need any boot pin soldered or is there any other way to connect them? Could you please give some advice? 


I'm using frame plus special Bosch ECU adapters plus external power supply to the box. Software works on the computer, drivers correct.

it should work

the internal eeprom error is probably a badly disabled immo

if you do not want to connect, I would check the fields on the plate and the needles in the base

But it doesn't I am afraid. Just tested 2 ECUs - 16+ from PSA and MED9.1 from VW. Both readings fine. But edc16cp33 doesn't even want to connect. Check pictures below please.

Made edc16cp33 laguna III half a year ago via bdm edc16 adapter with ktag clone without problems..no need some boot pin or power supply to ecu, just bdm adapter to bdm pins and power supply to ktag..try more voltage,near 14.5V
Maybe your ktag is for cristmas tree

I am not saying my Ktag is 100% fine but can confirm it's having problems only with cp33... I've tried already higher voltage, different computers.

is it the origanal ecu with eeprom error mate or donner one
