I used the paragon ntsf for mac program trial version. It worked well. The car recognize the usb formatted ntfs. First it was fat32 and did not work. Now I got 2020-1 Next West with zero problem.

well that was it... funny enough the car will read mp3s and videos on fat 32 but not map update...

I got the seagate free NTSF tool and could not write on it (format in NTFS but read only NTFS tool).... had to plug USB on my NAS and send the data over the network overnight....

im converted to macs, but what a pain in the butt for some special applications sometimes....

That is why I got another 64 gb flash usb for map updates. I bought a lifetime code and enjoying it. Recommend it.

The issue has been discussed before: MacOS puts some hidden files on any inserted USB drive. You need to use an application like BlueHarvest to clean the drive, then you will have no issue with NBT detecting the update.
