Hi guys,

I have a problem with ISTA-P:

After selecting the ICOM Next in ISTA-P I can connect to the vehicle (BMW motorbike). ISTA-P shows VIN and model, then it askes whether any ECUs were replaced. After that ISTA-P shows milage, type code, color code, I-level, options and so on, but then I get this error message:

"The interface is in an invalid state. The session must be ended"

The PC runs on Windows 10 64-bit 21H2.
The interface is an original ICOM Next with firmware 03.15.08.

I tried these two combinations:
- ISTA-P standalone 3.66 with ISTA-P Loader 6.4
- ISTA-P standalone 3.69 with ISTA-P Loader 6.6
but the problem is the same.

Further there is ISTA+ 4.33.30 standalone on the PC, this works fine with this ICOM Next.

Previously the PC was running on Windows 7 and it worked perfectly with ISTA-P 3.66 + ISTA-P Loader 6.4 (but with an older formware of the ICOM Next).

Any suggestions or ideas would be great. Thanks!

Re-install ediabas in ISTA-P Loader 6.6

When ISTA-P Loader 6.6 starts, there is a "tool" option with the install "ediabas" option, click on it

I did reinstall patched ediabas via Tools-menu in ISTA-P Loder 6.6 (deinstall - reboot - installed it again - reboot). Unfortunately the problem is the same ("interface in invalid state")...

Meanwhile I installed ISTA-P 3.69.0.400 (installer version) - the problem is still the same...

installed patched Ediabas7.3? usually this is the cause. also make sure your firewall is off

Thank you, the firewall was the problem: Firewall was off for private networks but on for public networks. Deactivation the firewall also for public networks solved the problem!
