because it works nomally like out of the box if all is set properly

And ista at work is that quicker?

Have you istalled older ista before?

ista on the work computers(not my laptop) can scan a vehicle in about 10min or less, i uninstalled and installed 1 version older and i was getting the same thing issue.

this problem is making me crazy, i feel like i have tried almost everything, i really don't want to do a complete format and start over

that's what i thought but it shows that the firewall is completely disabled, i will PM you when i have time and connected to a vehicle, i will double check firewall but maybe i am missing something. i appreciate your offer to help!

Hello all!

first again i'd like to thank you all for your input, i have corrected the problem!

it was in fact due to firewall settings, maybe with a windows update it reactivated the firewall even though it showed that the firewall was turned off in settings. I turned on the firewall, restarted windows, turned the firewall back off and restarted again. opened ista and connected and scanned in under 5min, all is back to normal!
