ISTA alternate version programming
ISTA seems to maintain the previous version after upgrades. Example would be latest S18A-23-07-527 while also having alternate S18A-23-03-565. ISTA appears to be able to fallback to a previous version if problems are encountered but is there a way to proactively select the previous version? I read the user guide and could not find any references to this.

I read the user guide and could not find any references to this. release notes are available that instruct in certain vehicles to update to alternative i-level first and then to the latest version. |

If programming is required at I level 23-03-5xx, contact Technical Support regarding IBAC." But does not say HOW to program the alternate I level. Thanks

ISTA will AUTOMATICALLY choose alternate version for SPECIFIC cars. Online ISTA also asks backend whether alternate version must be used, offline ISTA has only execution break file for that.

It does automatically when needed. The executionbreak defines when is needed. This is how it works in every version.
