Hi All,

I have a 2017 fiat 500x with blown up ECU, someone decided to weld on car and current passed through ecu.

I am hoping I can still read the EEPROM and FLASH.

I have tried via the connectors but the ECU won't power on, so is there a way that I can do this on bench?

It is EDC17C69 - TC1793

Just to give a little more info, the customer brought a kit on ebay from a scrap 500x hoping it would solve the problem.
In the kit came the following:-
Radio, Steering Lock, BCM, ECU, Airbag module, PDC module, heater controls, instrument cluster and a key. All of this has been fitted but, the ignition will not turn on. the cluster lights up and shows "press clutch and press start" followed by "check keyless system" etc.

I cannot do proxi align as it keeps saying BCM not configured correctly, even after swapping the original parts back (except for engine ECU) it say this.

Also the guy has replaced the ABS module from a different 500x, this shows a VIN programming error.

When I scan the network, I cannot see the engine ECU unless I force power to K15 terminal on ECU.

I am suspecting there may be other electrical faults, like maybe burned wiring.

Also I cannot find a SGW on this vehicle, build date is 2017.

Hi All,

So I have installed new modules except RFHM, this seems to be undamaged, however I cannot make it proxi align etc as it has wrong VIN, I think this is the reason.
I have managed to dump the EEPROM from RFHM, could someone possibly take a look and see if there is anything that can be done with it please?
