Thread Modes VW Golf Variant steering assist problem: check sum error
Hi all
currently have a VW golf variant in the shop which had a little accident on the left front side. Car has 2 errors in 44 steering assist: 4867 - Internal Fault B200F F0 [008] - Unknown Error Elaboration [Fehler im Abschaltpfadtest 1st current check (PWM: 65/35/50)] Intermittent - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear 229504 - Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error B2000 00 [153] - - [Steuergerät defekt - Interne Störung] MIL ON - Confirmed - Not Tested Since Memory Clear I have reflashed the module with odis but no succes. I think certain data is damaged on the board? Anyone have suggestions for this? Can it be corrupt data in maybe eeprom? I have vvdi to reset data in BMW FRM modules, maybe i can use this to get this working again. I know that replacing it would solve the problem, but we first want to try this. Module is completely accessible with vcds and odis. How you solved this problem ?
I have identical errors plus G85 not initialised. The big problem is I have the same errors also after I changed steering assist with one from scrapping yard. |

RE: Thread Modes VW Golf Variant steering assist problem: check sum error
Did you try to update it to 5Q0909144AB 1082 ?
There is two files, H1 and H2, first you need to flash H2 (bootloader) and then H1 (software) in same Odis flash session. You will need dataset as well (dataset are same on AA and AB version of SW). All files incl. datasets are available on mibsolution. Note: I find info at sometimes is needed to flash extra bootloader version 5Q0909144YF prior to main flash, so process in that case will be: YF -> H2 -> H1 in same ODIS flash session. And sometime at H2 bootloader need to be flashed twice: H2 -> H2 -> H1. Reason for that is at steer rack goes to some kind of limp mode. ------- Updated mine from 5Q0909144R to 5Q0909144AB 2-3 months a go without any issue. In my case, flashed H2 once and then H1. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
