I have a 2000 Mercedes W202 v6, the car fail to change gears and i found that the speed sensor was blown.but after changing the speed sensor its doing the same. i try to read the codes with the gold autocom with delphi software but cant connect to car.it is connecting in all modules apartt from gearbox.
Now what is the problem? why is it not changing gears? can wow connect to gearbox?

Check all fuses and relays on front sam module..I had same problem

In some model autocom fail to connect with gearbox ecu.
But as advised check fuse and wiring.

Car wont change gears until you erease the fault code. you will need a scan tool

I have found that only a MB original or clone SDS will erase the codes after changing contact plate above valve body. Especially if it slams into gear from park or neutral.. either take it to a shop that has SDS or buy one yourself . a decent clone on ebay is about 400 but you have to have a older laptop that has a serial type hard drive AND a real dedicated serial port. these laptops were only produced around 2005.. if you try to add a serial port using a added in card u will find it will not work. i know of no other way to clear the ETC codes after repair. Also make sure the trans module is NOT filled with ATF lol.. take it out and open it up if it has oily connections.
