My X5 E53 has a problem with Parking Distance Control.
All 8 parking sensor (4 front & 4 rear still hear clicking when put ear to close these sensors).
When I reverse, PDC button light turn on and sound continuous beep, when the car close objective, beep change and warning (but still continuous beep)
Front sensor are not working (but 4 front sensor are clicking when I put ear close these sensor). I think that front PDC is not actived.
Check with DIS show fault: PDC - 27 PDC: Button - - - - Short to negative - - - - Fault currently not present
In my friend car, when he turn PDC button on, I didn't hear a continuous beep like my car but when I close to front & rear sensor, it emits a warning sound (constant beep, not continuous beep)

Hi! When my car is standing without any obstacles, INPA show in some photos as below:









With DIS/GT1, DPC button was pressed but in DIS show not pressed (refer photo as below):



I perform coding whole car, but problem still exist.
The problem is: When PDC button was active (green light) front sound is continuous beep and no warning when the car go forward close to obstacles. When I reverse the car to obstacles, it get warning sound (constant beep) while front sound still continuous beep (mix continuous beep of front sound and constant beep of rear warning sound.
I think something wrong with front sensor or PDC, I tried to swap every front sensor to rear and rear still working with warning sound but front always continuous beep. In my friend car, when PDC was pressed and green light go on, I never heard any sound until the go close to obstacles, it will warning with constant beep (not continuous beep) and front warning sound is different rear warning sound.

I will be appreciated if any helps to fix this problem.

I think it´s a classic failure, I have often seen, the paint of the sensors in front are damaged though stones.
Look at them or try to change them for testing with them of the back and front and back behavior should switch.

I check PDC module located in the boot closing the battery, it is good, no warer, no oxidase.
Next, I have removed front bumper, check and remove all the tape cover 4 wire bundles to 4 sensor. Roll the new tape to every bundle and then insert these bundles inside bumper holder and go out at the every hole at sensor position. Clean up 4 connector to 4 sensor.
Finally, PDC come back normal and correct its function.
